Why bother?

Most of us own things we never use, while someone three streets away is about to buy that exact thing new. Every item that changes hands here is one that didn't need to be made, shipped, or thrown away. flito exists to make passing things on feel less like a chore and more like a good day — and to make buying new feel like the boring option.

Swap it, give it, or sell it

Swap — trade your thing for someone else's. No money anywhere.

Give it away — sometimes you just want it gone, to someone who'll use it.

Sell it — running a garage sale? Put a price on your things. Any money is handled directly between the two of you, in person. flito never takes payments and never takes a cut.

We find the swap you'd never have found

The easy case: you want their chair, they want your lamp. Straight swap, done.

But real life is rarely that tidy — so flito also looks for circles. You give your lamp to Sam, Sam gives their bike to Alex, Alex gives you the chair. Nobody had to want each other's stuff, and everyone still ends up with what they came for. We do the puzzle; you just get told who to meet.

You meet in public, not on doorsteps

Handovers happen face to face, so flito works with local cafés as swap spots — somewhere normal and public, with people around. Your address is never shown to anyone; other people only ever see your suburb.

Some cafés also run giveaway draws: scan the code on the counter and you're in the running for the thing sitting next to it.

Every thing gets a story

Each item has its own page that follows it from person to person — who had it, where it went, what happened along the way. Built from what people actually tell us about it, never invented. Years from now, that jacket has a history.
