The story behind this auction

Wednesday's paperclip challenge was a masterclass in negotiation. Starting with nothing but a single paperclip, Scott's group of Cubs systematically traded their way through dinosaurs, Christmas stockings, Tim Tams, fancy chocolates, board games, torches, wine bottles, and even a bottle of Fireball whisky to land three brand-new Lego kits. The neighbourhood residents were surprisingly generous - or maybe just charmed by persistence. Now we've got a fishing rod, a spray painter, storage solutions, a Rubik's cube, and various other treasures to auction off for camp funds. The kids learned that trading up takes patience and a willingness to knock on doors. Head torches made excellent collateral along the way.
